1. Introduction

Welcome to COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT (ACN 661 086 111). These terms and conditions outline the rules and regulations for the use of our transport services and website. By engaging our services, you accept these terms and conditions in full.

2. Services

COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT provides interstate freight and delivery services across Australia. Our services include:

• Interstate freight transport
• Contract delivery services
• Express delivery services
• Door-to-door transport solutions
• Insured freight services

3. Booking and Quotes

All quotes provided are valid for 30 days from the date of issue. Bookings are confirmed upon receipt of signed agreement and any required deposit. Prices are subject to change based on fuel costs, distance, cargo weight, and special handling requirements.

4. Payment Terms

Payment terms are as follows:

• Individual customers: Payment due prior to delivery
• Contract customers: Net 30 days from invoice date
• Express services: Payment required at booking
• Late payments may incur interest charges of 2% per month

5. Liability and Insurance

All freight is insured during transport. COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT maintains comprehensive insurance coverage for all cargo. In the event of loss or damage, claims must be submitted within 7 days of delivery. Our liability is limited to the declared value of goods or actual replacement cost, whichever is lower, up to a maximum of $100,000 per shipment unless additional insurance is purchased.

6. Customer Responsibilities

Customers are responsible for:

• Accurate declaration of cargo contents, weight, and dimensions
• Proper packaging of goods to withstand interstate transport
• Ensuring pickup and delivery locations are accessible
• Providing accurate contact information
• Being available during agreed pickup and delivery windows
• Declaring any hazardous or prohibited items

7. Prohibited Items

COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT does not transport:

• Illegal substances or contraband
• Hazardous materials without prior arrangement and certification
• Perishable goods without refrigeration arrangements
• Live animals (with exceptions for authorized livestock transport)
• Firearms or weapons without proper licensing
• Items exceeding weight or size limits without prior approval

8. Delivery Times

Delivery timeframes are estimates based on normal operating conditions. COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT is not liable for delays caused by weather, road conditions, vehicle breakdown, border delays, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control. Express services guarantee priority handling but specific delivery times are estimates only.

9. Cancellation Policy

Cancellations made more than 48 hours before scheduled pickup will receive a full refund. Cancellations within 48 hours may incur a 25% cancellation fee. Cancellations within 24 hours or no-shows will incur a 50% cancellation fee. For contract services, cancellation terms are outlined in individual agreements.

10. Claims and Disputes

All claims for loss or damage must be submitted in writing within 7 days of delivery. Claims should include photos, original invoice, and description of damage. COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT will investigate all claims promptly. Disputes will be resolved through mediation before legal proceedings, in accordance with NSW law.

11. Force Majeure

COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT is not liable for failure to perform obligations due to circumstances beyond reasonable control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, strikes, government actions, or acts of war.

12. Governing Law

These terms and conditions are governed by the laws of New South Wales, Australia. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of NSW.

13. Changes to Terms

COBDENS INTERSTATE TRANSPORT reserves the right to modify these terms and conditions at any time. Changes will be posted on our website and take effect immediately upon posting. Continued use of our services constitutes acceptance of modified terms.
